Milla

Milla Parore is an emerging visual artist whose work reflects a thoughtful interplay between exploration, memory, form, and emotion. A recent graduate of King’s College in Auckland, Milla was awarded the Visual Art Prize (Photography and Design) - recognition that signals a young artist of rare sensitivity and voice.

Milla’s creative practice spans photography, and mixed media, often exploring the quiet tension between the natural world and the internal one. There is a certain softness in her work, but also a sharpness - an ability to observe and express that feels instinctive, even ancestral. It’s no surprise, then, that she comes from a family deeply rooted in artistic appreciation and creative expression.

In 2024, Milla was selected for a six-week international exchange at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Georgia, where she earned two A grades across advanced college-level courses. The experience further honed her creative focus and contributes to her academic pathway.

In 2025, Milla will begin her formal study at Parsons School of Design in New York City - ranked the number one Art & Design school in the United States and third globally (QS World University Rankings). It marks the next chapter in what promises to be a compelling and courageous artistic journey.

Her website offers a glimpse into that unfolding story: a curated space where selected works are shared and, in some cases, made available for purchase. For Milla, art is both a discipline and a diary - a way of making sense of the world and her place within it.

This is just the beginning, but already, her lens is telling stories only she could see.
